Upload Contacts
Step 1: Open My Lists
From the left navigation, click Contacts, then My Lists.
This is where all your uploaded contact lists are stored.

Step 2: Upload Your Contacts
Click the green Upload Contacts button at the top of the page.
Step 3: Name Your List
Enter a name for your list (for example: Tech Founders Q2 2026).
This helps you easily identify the list when creating campaigns.
Step 4: Choose Duplicate Handling
Select how Automailer should handle duplicate email addresses:
  • Skip Duplicates — ignores contacts that already exist (recommended)
  • Merge and Update — updates existing contacts with new information
  • Allow Duplicates — imports all rows, even duplicates
Step 5: Upload Your CSV File
Drag and drop your CSV file or click to browse your computer.

Then click Upload.

Your list will appear in My Lists, with details such as total contacts and verification status.
Verify Your Contact List
Before using your list in a campaign, you should verify it.
Verification helps clean your list by detecting:
  • Invalid emails
  • Spam traps (emails that can harm sender reputation)
  • Role-based emails (e.g., info@, support@)
  • Unresponsive or risky addresses

To verify:

Click Verify List after upload.

You may need additional verification credits to complete this process.
Manage Exclusions and Unsubscribes Exclusions
Use Exclusions to prevent sending emails to specific email addresses or domains.
Anything added here will be automatically excluded from all campaigns in your workspace.
Common use cases:
  • Competitors
  • Existing customers
  • Manually blocked contacts
Unsubscribes
Automailer automatically tracks users who unsubscribe from your emails.

Unsubscribed contacts are automatically excluded from future campaigns.

You can export your unsubscribe list at any time for backup or syncing.
Important Note
Always verify your contact list before launching a campaign. This helps reduce bounce rates and protect your sender reputation.
